Lazy Weeknight Post-Breakup Low-Effort Fridge-Raiding Intuitive-Eating Meal Template Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Making my Own Dinner

    Ingredients:
  • HEB salmon burger
  • Avocado
  • Canned asparagus
  • Olives
  • salt and pepper

So this is obviously an example extremely specific to me and my tastes. Any kind of pre-made protein thing you can just heat up will work. Could be a regular burger, a turkey burger, a sausage or something. Falafel even. Frozen meatballs, chicken breast? I'm giving myself ideas. And now you have them, too. My personal conglomeration of green sides may not be your ultimate combo so you can also play with that. To really do the true Chey Special, top the salmon burger with fresh jalapeno, and finish with spicy dill pickle chips and cheesecake for dessert. And a lychee soju. And a joint.

Before the Schism my partner did most of the cooking. He was good at it and enjoyed it and I appreciated not having to do it. Now i'm in charge of my own meals and I'm getting back in touch with my own tastes. I'm loving being left to my own devices and finding the lowest-effort cheapest ways to eat nutritious satisfying and tasty meals. No one else has to like it and I love that.
