Poppy Mountain Minecraft Diary

2/27/2024

Yesterday was a chill productive minimally stressful time. Except for when i woke up to a spider at my door. I jumped out of my seat.

Ariana what are you doing here!?

I spent some time surveying the area and enjoying the view, plotting what I may need to do to connect my base to this fabulous village.

I'm thinking some kind of bridge though I'm not sure what I can pull off in an aesthetic way. I'm not the most skilled builder.

I really felt like going adventuring to see what's around me but I realized I was basically starving to death. I bred my sheep and built a fire pit and got myself some sustenance.

I was a litle overzealous building my crop farm. It's looking a little meagre at this time but it'll grow into the space in time.

Once I felt like I was sufficiently geared up I decided to explore a nearby cave. It looked promising but when i got up close it wasn't really all that exciting. I decided I'll find another better cave to really sink some time into.

I pivoted to exploring more area and seeing what other biomes and resources are in my area. I traversed to the north side of my mountaintop to find that instead of poppies it's covered in alliums which are my favorite color! I almost regretted making my base on the other side but I remembered this is my world and I can use it and connect it all. In the distance I was surprised to find ANOTHER village in the plains below. I approached excitedly.

As i drew closer to the village I realized that there is a ruined portal right in the middle of it!! i can't wait to build it up and make it look cool.

I fraternized with the abundance of villagers and helped myself to their crops and chests and bales of hay, with the promise that I will reward the village handsomely for helping me. The possibilities are endless!

Once I left the village and returned home I built a cow pen and descended down the mountain to collect a couple cows from the valley. They seemed apprehensive at first but I think they'll be happy in their new home.

I'm bored at work and pining for a mining. Here's a little list of things I can work on once I can get back into it.

This entry will not be much structured or stylized at all. Just a summary of what I can remember doing the last few hours in my new Minecraft world. I'm hoping over time this diary will flow into something more creative and exciting.

I've missed playing Minecraft. It's been a good several months since I last really played. I'd started a few worlds here and there but couldn't get one to stick. Finally I have a world I'm excited about!

I'm living in a tiny little castle tower on top of a gigantic mountain absolutely covered in poppies and populated with donkeys and bunny rabbits. My base overlooks a village on another mountain across the water. Access to multiple enormous caves. Altitude provides extra iron. It's fucking magical.

My ultimate goal is to build up my area into a larger castle complex and connecting my mountain to the other village mountain. i want to fix and build up the village to make it cuter and more functional and a place where I can trade. I want to create lived-in mine entrances. I want farms of all the crops and some of the animals. I want to have a cool decorative nether portal. I want to collect a bunch of different colored flowers and create a rainbow field of them in the valley below. I want to take it slow and not worry about milestones like diamonds, though i do eventually hope to have a surplus of diamonds so I can decorate with a display of wealth. i want it to feel like building an empire or civilization itself from the ground up!

Today i spent a lot of time terraforming to create space for my animal and crop farms. I built a sheep pen and collected a couple sheep, a grey and a white one and a baby. I built up a structure for a larger crop farm and moved my small temporary crop farm there. It took forever and at one point a creeper did blow my shit up that I had just finished. My area is not currently very well lit so it's monsters galore at night. i was trapped inside unable to sleep at one point because a literal village's worth of zombies spawned and were all clawing at my door. I got brave and killed them though. Stayed real close to home today. I'm getting some things settled before I go out adventuring. I plan to add a second floor to my little baby castle tower house. Thus it will become a small tower with even more potential for growth.

Next time I plan to get more screenshots and I'll have more of a visual element to this page. I'm so excited to keep playing! I wish playing minecraft was my full-time job.
